COPYRIGHT INFORMATION AND TERMS OF USE POLICY

This Policy applies to the use of all images found on this website and any Govern Images social media pages (e.g. Facebook and Instagram).

Please read carefully before using any image/s.

Govern Images retains the Copyright ownership of all images created by them, including but not limited to all images in their original and processed formats.

PURCHASING AND/OR USING IMAGES

By purchasing digital images and/or ordering prints from this website, you are considered a ‘User’ and are doing so for Personal Use only and under the permissions listed within this Policy.

What you can do:

* Download the images for personal use (such as saving them to a computer)

* Print the digital images for personal use (such as creating a photo album or placing the image in a frame).

* Post the image/s to your personal social media posts and we would appreciate you tagging us as we like seeing you enjoying your digital images

* Share/re-post one of our social media posts where we have tagged you in the image/s or the photo is of you.

* Images bearing the Govern Images watermark (as identified by a blue square in the corner of the photo and the words ‘GOVERN IMAGES’ may be shared without requesting permission however may not be altered or cropped to remove the watermark.

What you cannot do:

* Alter the image/s in any way for social media posts. This can include adding a filter or cropping the image/s

* Giving or selling the digital image/s to another person or business for their Commercial Use (e.g. they might want to use the image of you wearing their clothing to promote their brand). Please see the Commercial Use section below for more information

* Use any image/s for entering contests/competitions (e.g. nominating your photo to be included in a calendar)

* It is illegal to screenshot any image from any of our online galleries for any use (this includes posting any watermarked images from the website onto social media pages or the website/s). All images on our online galleries are watermarked with large ‘GOVERN IMAGES’ in light grey text across the majority of the image. This allows you to view the image before deciding to purchase.

It is also illegal to copy, scan, download, print, share, alter, or steal any image created by Govern Images that has not been purchased or donated/gifted by Govern Images. This applies to any image/s posted on our social media pages that are not of you.

If a person or business is found to obtain image/s via any illegal method, they will be invoiced for the cost of EACH digital image they have obtained at Govern Images' current price per digital file.

COMMERCIAL USE
Any person or business wishing to use any image/s on our website in a commercial fashion must receive written consent from Govern Images before its Commercial Use.

At the absolute discretion of Govern Images, an additional fee may be charged for Commercial Use.
